Follow these easy steps and you will be on the course with your new grips in no time!

  • Remove old grip with a straight knife by making 4 cuts the length of the grip and peel back.
NOTE: If you have graphite shafts, take extra care not to scratch or cut into the shaft.

  • Remove old grip tape and residue. A soft rag and paint thinner, mineral spirits is recommended.

  • Make sure shaft is completely dry before applying grip tape.

  • Mix 1 TBSP liquid soap to one quart of warm water.

  • Remove the large paper liner.

  • Apply sided tape to the shaft leaving 1/2 inch of tape at the top.

  • Remove the remaining paper liner.

NOTE:   if you have cut down any club you may need to build up the thickness of the shaft for proper fit.
You can use double sided club building tape or additional grips tapes.
Generally speaking one layer of tape per 2 inches cut.

If you like a thicker grip, you can also build up the thickness with additional grip tapes or club building tape.

  • Apply a small amount of mixture onto the grip tape.

  • Pour a small amount inside the grip keeping a finger on the hole at the butt end.

  • Shake and pour the mixture from inside the grip directly onto the grip tape.

  • Slide grip all the way on, add more mixture if needed.

  • Make sure grip is all the way on by gently pressing butt end on a floor.
Putting on your magnetic putter grip: You want it on snug, but do not so tight the top bulges upward.
There will be a small amount of movement from the inserted magnet.  This does not effect play.

  • Align as desired.

  • Let set for 12 hours.

If you should have any questions or concerns about the installation of a new grip,
visit your local proshop for assistance or installation.

It is recommended that you change your grips annually.
